I normally don't get pictures of these guys 'cause they're just so darn fast.

This one, however, came bee bopping down the trail towards me

until he realized I was there and froze.

I snapped his picture right before he dashed into the underbrush.

I awoke to rain today.

 I managed to sneak a walk in among the raindrops.

A break in the clouds

The woods on a rainy morning.

 Wet wildflowers.

Warm & Windy = Working Outside

Today was unusually warm, up to 78°.

So we blazed a new trail.

The trail dropped down to the levee,

followed the creek,

to the swimming hole,

and looped back up the hill.

We were dog sitting our son's dogs,

so they got to go swimming.

Chasing sticks on a warm day makes for doggy fun.

Spring Cleaning

April is here.

Time to spring clean the barn.

 Winter blankets are washed & dried in the sun.

 The feed room is organized & swept out.

 Saddles are cleaned .

 Jasper inspects the tack room.
