Frosty Morning

I knew it was coming, but not looking forward to it.
Our first hard frost.

Winter isn't too far off.

Hiking at Turkey Run

No Autumn is complete until we hike a state park.
This year we visited Turkey Run State Park with our granddaughter.

The leaves aren't as vibrant as usual, but Sugar Creek was still beautiful.

Granddaughter Liddy heads across the suspension bridge eager to explore.

Rocky Hollow is always a challenging hike,

 even for dogs!

We found a face on a tree.

We hiked to the Narrows covered bridge.

And Turkey Run Hollow was fun to explore.

Despite sprinkles and cool temps, we all had fun.

Sometimes even being silly!

Painting the Town

l
The girls in the family had a "girls' night out"
and became painters for the night.
An artist talks you through painting a picture.

Our subject was the Boilermaker Special, the Purdue train.

I'm having fun

Little Snake

I found this little garter snake on the trail.

Not too much longer and he'll have to hibernate.
