I think this is a young hognose snake.

Identifying snakes is not my forte'.

Paw Paws are Ripe

The paw paws are ripe down in the paw paw patch.

They look like big green eggs 

and are slightly squishy when ripe.

And taste like banana custard,

thus they are called Indiana bananas.
