Yellowstone!

My first glimpse of thermal features and it is just unreal.
Steam everywhere, floating up from the ground

Black Pool is now a beautiful blue after erupting in 1991 and killing the bacteria that originally gave it its name

Abyss Pool is a lovely green color and is 53 feet deep.

The pools are boiling and bubbling with hot water and crusty edges.

The Fishing Cone is right in the waters of Lake Yellowstone.
Early tourists could catch a fish and cook it before removing it from the hook.
Fishing is now prohibited, due to several deaths from people falling into the springs.

Even underwater in the lake, thermal vents can be seen.

You must walk on the boardwalk as the ground is unstable & unsafe.
