We visited the Salt River Recreation Area in the Tonto Natl' Forest.
The Salt river is an oasis in the desert.
We hiked along the tranquil water.
The trail clung to the side of the mountains that dropped to the water.
The trail follows the river to Sheep Canyon.
Saw this tenacious cactus in the rock.
This heron was enjoying the cool water.
Bo enjoyed it too.
After our hike, we enjoyed lunch at Saguaro Lake.
