Indian Summer is upon us and we decided to take advantage
of those last few warm Autumn days and take a genealogy road trip.
First, we headed to Berlin, Ohio to check out graves of hubby's ancestors.
We were delighted to discover that his kin were buried
right in the heart of Holmes Country and the Ohio Amish community.
This is the view from the Mennonite Cemetery
were his great, great, great, great grandparents are buried.
Isn't that peaceful?
We traveled across Holmes County
Found his great, great, great grandfather & grandmother in the Dalton Cemetery
where these coal black squirrels were scurrying around.
It was another beautiful setting.
Down more backroads looking for the 3rd cemetery.
Where we found another great, great, great grandfather & grandmother,
and her parents as well.
Wow, what a lovely resting place.
