Shades Stae Park

Its the start of November and the weather is mild and the leaves are gorgeous.

Time for a camping trip.

 The weather was unseasonably warm, but we still had a campfire.

 We camped at Shades State Park which has some cool trails.

 Lots of ups & downs.

 Rugged canyons with steep walls & boulders.

And waterfalls.
 We're loving this warn Autumn..

Glimpses of Shades State Park

Shades is a nature lover's paradise.
Many of the trails are in lovely ravines,

And follow streambeds,

As you hike below sandstone cliffs,

To the serene Sugar Creek.

A visit to Shades State Park

We visited Shades State Park, a beautiful park with
waterfalls, sandstone cliffs, and deep ravines.
This is Silver Cascade Falls, a convex waterfall.

This is the Devil's Punchbowl,
a round scoured out area along a small creek.
