Distinctive Trees - Sentinel Tree

There are a few distinctive trees here on the ranch.
One that is noticed by even the casual observer is this huge black oak.
We refer to it as the Sentinel Tree, since it sits on a high bank overlooking the creek.

It is an inviting place to sit and muse.

And it towers over Hinkle Creek.

It is beautiful in all seasons.
