Cemetery Geocaching

We had a breezy but warm day,
so my daughter & I went geocaching again.
We were looking for a multi-geocache,
where you find the first cache,
which gives you the clue to the second one, and so on.
The first cache was in the Shell Cemetery.
 It was a bucolic setting,
tucked back in the trees along a quiet country road.
Daughter & grandson looked for the clue to the next cache
while granddaughter & I explored.

Reading the old tombstones.

We found a pretty little pond nearby,
but then continued on to the next cache.
The next one was located near a bridge over Pipe Creek.
It took some searching, but we finally found this tiny capsule
suspended on fishing line inside the sign post with the next clue inside.

Then it was on to another cemetery, Neese Cemetery
which was nestled along Pipe Creek.
It was quite calming to walk among the gravestones
and ponder about the circumstances of the departed lives.
Many of them lived in the 1800's and died young.
A peaceful day spent in fresh air & sunshine.
