We spent he last 4 days at Giant City State Park
in southern Illinois.
The park is named after the sheer vertical walls
and street-like canyons that reminded pioneers
of streets of a giant city.
Hiking the "giant city streets".
Balanced Rock
The park features the sandstone bluffs of the Shawnee Hills.
There are many beautiful hiking trails,
a stone lodge dining room which serves scrumptious food,
cozy cabins,
and even a unique water tower you can climb
for long distance views.
Its a beautiful park with plenty of natural beauty.
